Grandpa, What’s That Sound in the Middle of the Night?

About the story

While visiting their grandfather’s farm, two curious and courageous children seek the source of a sound in the night. The mystery unfolds as they meet fanciful creatures — a two headed owl, a flying cow, and more. Grandpa can’t help them find the answer, as it is his roar of a SNORE creating the sound. 

Many of us hear snoring in the night. It can be a symptom of sleep apnea, a medical condition more frequently diagnosed and appearing in news stories.

About the author and illustrator

Author Naomi Singlehurst shares her gift of engaging and humorous rhymes. She is an experienced journalist living in Australia. This is her first children’s book.

Victoria Jamieson’s stunning illustrations captivate young readers. A freelance illustrator and a graphic designer at HarperCollins in New York, she illustrated The Gollywhopper Games and is the author-illustrator of an upcoming book, Bea Rocks the Flock.
