KURT WIESE

Kurt Wiese’s work on Honk: The Moose represents one of more than 300 books he illustrated during his 40+ year career. He is well-known for illustrating the first Bambi book. Wiese received a number of Newbery Honor awards, including one for Honk.  He also wrote some children’s books, twice winning the coveted Caldecott Medal for Children's Literature.
